Students and employees can now get an absent note for being late for school or work delivered to their inboxes.

Even though letters of absence have existed in ZET for a while now, students normally had to wait in lines for a paper letter at one of ZET terminals to confirm that a bus or tram line was late so they could take it to school and prove that public transport was the reason why they were late for school or work, Večernji list reports on August 27, 2017.

However, ZET has decided to make the process simpler by introducing e-notes, which might make things complicated for students, or at least for those who had some tricks up their sleeves and made fake notes.

Just a few clicks on zet.hr website will enable students or employees to generate an e-note if there has been a traffic delay of more than 15 min. In order to download the note, you need to write your name, the institution you are giving the note to, the number of tram or bus line that was late, date and time, and your e-mail address.

Each letter of absence will be personalised so that its authenticity can be verified.
