If you’re visiting Zagreb during Christmas time, going ice skating is a must, especially once you know that the open-air ice-skating rink on Tomislav Square is the largest in Europe. The location next to the Main Railway Station and the fairy lights add a pinch of magic to it. It is open from late November until the beginning of January, every day from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.
An hour of skating costs 15-20 kn, plus an additional 15 kn for the skates.
Šalata Sports centre has a similar ice-skating rink, with DJs playing disco music in the background, and it is open from the beginning of November until the beginning of March. The ticket and the skates cost 15 kn each during the week, and 20 kn each during the weekend.
