These are good times for the winemakers of Hvar, and international exports of the island’s finest continue apace.
One of the most active wineries in finding new markets in the last 18 months has been Vina Caric in Svirce, and their excellent wines have found new markets in recent times in America, Italy, Austria and Hungary.
And together with PZ Svirce, in Holland.
The two Svirce wineries were among the first Croatian wines to be offered in the Netherlands by Croatian Grapes, a dynamic company which is doing its best to promote Croatian wines in Holland.

The special dry white Cesarica and red Jubo’v are selected as love couple for our ‘Valentine Wine’. The Caric family makes both wines with passion and devotion on the romantic island of Hvar in the Adriatic Sea.
Cesarica got her name because she is the empress among white blends. The wine is a blend of four indigenous grape varieties that grow together and love each other tremendously.
The name Jubo’v is a combination of the name of the son of the winemaker Ljubo (Jubo in dialect) and the Croatian word for love: Ljubav.
