More good vibes to come from Dubrovnik’s much loved House of Marin Drzic this Friday!
Josip Skrelj and Vedran Grabovac are two of Dubrovnik’s most celebrated artists of the modern day. Skrelj, born in 1941, completed his studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in 1965 and retired from his job as a teacher back in 2006. He is a prolific, gifted artist who has created several cycles of paintings that could fall by definition both into surrealism abstraction. Grabovac, born in 1950, has been a naturally gifted painter since early childhood and has had his impressive work exhibited in both solo and group exhibitions since 1967 both at home and abroad. Both artists still live in Dubrovnik.
An exhibition of the sculptures and drawings of the two celebrated, Dubrovnik born artists will open at the House of Marin Drzic (Dom Marina Drzica) this Friday the 7th of April 2017 at 19:00. Curated by art historian Andrea Batinic Ivankovic, the exhibition will consist of drawings by the talented Josip Skerlj as well as five wooden sculptures made by the equally talented Vedran Grabovac.
The House of Marin Drzic can be found at: Siroka Ulica 7, 2000, Dubrovnik (Old City)
