Jelsa (and its surroundings) has a variety of options when it comes to choosing a place to enjoy the pristine blue waters of the Adriatic sea. Prapatna Bay is one of them.
Located 10 km from Jelsa (Sucuraj direction), the best way to reach Prapatna is by boat. If you are not a lucky owner, there is still the wonderful option to rent one in Jelsa for a day.

If you decide to explore the island by car, head to the east (from Jelsa) and after approximately 5 km you will get all the way up the hill. where you need to turn left to a side road and than turn right after a few meters to a rough track, which will lead you all the way down to the beautiful Prapatna bay.

Prapatna is a peaceful place with several houses (renting an apartment or a whole house is an option – you can check the offer at visit-hvar.com) and a beautiful wide beach spreading across the bay. There is not much shade during the morning hours, so be aware of that, when planing a whole day trip. The pebble beach is kids friendly, although not as shallow as some would wish for the most little ones.

I had several opportunities to stay overnight in Prapatna and I love the peaceful nights there. The only thing, that you will hear during the night is the sea, playing with its waves. With the non-existing public-light pollution, the place is also ideal for stargazing. Let´s picture it together for a moment. A hot summer night, you lying on the beach looking right into the universe, just you and the night sky and the sea doing shhhh..
Prapatna is waiting this summer!!
