New Fountain Square for Jelsa for Easter

You move away from Jelsa, and within a few weeks, they change everything… 

As previously reported on TCN, work has begun on the small square behind the municipal buiding in front of the tourist office, where once the town’s taxis plied their trade. They have now moved to a designated place by the main car park 30m away, and the square looks set for a facelift. 

March 15 is the deadline, so the square will be transformed into a pedestrian zone with fountain. Above, the vision, below, the reality – with thanks to Professor Frank John Dubokovich, Guardian of the Hvar Dialects, for the updated photo of the workd this afternoon.
