Over 63,000 More Overnights in Jelsa in 2016: Up 18%

Total Croatia News

It has been a period for change in Jelsa in recent years, with fluctuating tourism fortunes and a huge infrastructure overhaul which, once finished, should see a marked improvement in the tourism offer of this lovely little town on Hvar’s northern shore.

The statistics do not lie, and the Central Dalmatia Tourist Board has just released the year’s statistics, which show that 2016 was a good one for Jelsa in terms of tourist arrivals and overnight stays.

Registered tourists increased from 46,665 in 2015 to 53,041 in 2016 – up 14%.

Overnight stays did even better, up 18% from 359,600 to 423,881.

Congratulations to all. Let’s hope for an even better 2017.
