Hvar is an island full of tradition. Some of those traditions date back hundreds of years, such as the UNESCO Za Krizen procession during Holy Week. Others are much more recent in their origins.
Some traditions are very sensible and some are downright crazy.
One of the newest and craziest of Hvar’s traditions is the event held on New Year’s Day. Now its third year, two local associations invite you to come to Hvar at the beginning of what will be a very historic year (Hvar celebrates 150 years of organised tourism in 2018, the oldest in Europe after the founding of the Hvar Health Society in 1868) – for a swim!
Polarni Tovari and Platforma announce the third Hvar New Year’s Dive.
Come celebrate the new year with a refreshing dive into the beautiful Adriatic.
Location: Bonj les Bains, in front of Hotel Amfora (part of the Suncani Hvar group, which has hotel options all year – check out their website for more)
