Villa Heraclea in Hvar Named in The Times Top 50 Villas on the Med

A nice reminder that Hvar’s private accommodation sector has plenty of quality, as Villa Heraclea is included in this year’s list of top 50 villas on the Mediterranean by The Times. Heraclea, which sits in the heart of the old town above Hotel Riva, was one of just five Croatian villas included in the last, the other four being from Istria, Brac, Konavle and Dubrovnik. Here is what The Times had to say:

“This stunning 17th-century five-bedroom stone villa overlooks the water in Hvar’s Old Town. The roof terrace has a pool that can be covered with a sliding glass roof in cooler weather. On the ground floor is a wine cellar, sauna and relaxation room where you can have a massage or soak in the hot tub. The elegant sitting room has three sets of French doors leading to a lovely waterside balcony. Take a boat taxi to the sandy beaches at Pakleni.”
