Hvar Seaplane Celebrities in January: ER’s Goran Visnjic Flies to Jelsa

A little excitement for the ladies in Jelsa today, as ER heartthrob Goran Visnjic jetted into Jelsa this morning on another stunning day of glorious winter sun. 

Visnjic, most famous as Dr. Luka Kovac in ER, seemed to enjoy his 15 minutes as a flying doctor on the flight from downtown Split, on his way to his Hvar holiday home in a bay in the Kabal peninsula above Stari Grad. 

Famous actors arriving by seaplane to Jelsa in January. A reminder that the service is 12 months a year, and also that it does enable people to visit the island for short trips, where previously the prospect of a ferry ride each way might make such trips prohibitive. 

Next week sees the addition of two more significant routes for ECA. Direct flights will commence from downtown Split to Pescara in Italy, as well as Dubovnik Aiport. With a short connecting flight from Split to Jelsa, Hvar is getting more connected, 12 months of the year.
