The Andro Tomic wine range welcomes a big brother.
There is never a quiet moment with Andro Tomic.
I never cease to be amazed at the energy of the man, or his astonishing creativity and eye for a show. When I have a little more time, I am going to ask him if we can write a book together called Life of a Dalmatian Hedonist, based on his social life.
Andro has come up trumps again, with an intriguing luxury addition to his already excellent range of wines, a very limited edition of superior plavac mali from the very best vines on the fabled slopes of southern Hvar.
Called Veliki Plavac Mali, which translates as Big Blue Little (Plavac Mali translates as Little Blue), this premium wine comes only in 1.5 litre bottles with wooden presenation case, surely one of the best presents and souvenirs one can find on Hvar?
The honour of first tasting went to sommelier Mario Tomekovic in another great evening at the Bastijana winery.
Don’t forget that the Tomic Wine Boutique is open daily from 19:30 until midnight in the centre of the old town of Jelsa, just 30 metres from the main square. A wonderful way to discover Andro’s wines in a very social environment.
