There is a relatively new initiative formed just 3 months ago called platFORma. I must admit, there is very little information about this civil initiative out there at the moment. But what is more important, they are already very active in “reliving the social and cultural life of Hvar town in harmony with its citizens (of all ages) especially during the winter months” – this is what otok-hvar.com webiste claims the initiative´s main idea is.
As it seems, platFORma is calling for a civil-public partnership. Bringing Hvar associations and Hvar town together to cooperate in the process of creating a cultural and social centre at Veneranda as a place of various cultural activities (theatre, musical performances, workshops, festivals, presentations, etc.).
After participating in several seminars and workshops about joining forces and EU funding, they started a Facebook page and presented themselves to Hvar association. They will be publicly presenting their goals and visions this Sunday December 27, 2015 at 17:00 at Loggia in Hvar town.
