After opening the road yesterday, Croatia’s Prime Minister found time for a glass of wine in the heart of Hvar’s wine country – PZ Svirce.
It was a busy day on Hvar for the government yesterday, as Prime Minister Milanovic and the Tourism and Transport ministers flew to Jelsa to open the new stretch of road from Jelsa to Poljica.
With all the public visits, there was still time to head inland to a visit to the Svirce Cooperative, one of Croatia’s best wine producers, and one whose international organic credentials were once again underlined recently, as the Ivan Dolac Barrique 2008 won organic gold at Bio Fach Mundus Vini in Germany for the second year running.
The Zagreb politicians were treated to a tour and tasting by PZ director Andrija Caric, along with Jelsa mayor Niksa Peronja.
The visit in pictures below – why not pop in yourself and check out the exceptional PZ Svirce range?
