The international media love affair with Meneghello continues. A haven for John Malkovich and many other celebrities, Meneghello on Palmizana has become a byword for peace, culture, luxury and indulgence for many years, building on the remarkable story of the opening of tourism by the family on an island with no water or electricity in 1906.
The Daily Telegraph today features a full review of Meneghello. Here is the food and drink extract:
A la carte breakfast is served at Palmižana restaurant, on a covered terrace with fuchsia walls hung with modern art, and decorated with driftwood sculptures and potted plants. Later in the day, the menu features traditional Dalmatian dishes with a contemporary twist. Former guests include American actor John Malkovich. Down by the sea, Toto’s has a leafy terrace decorated with tiny coloured mosaic tiles, and likewise serves tasty dishes prepared from local seasonal ingredients, with an emphasis on seafood. Both restaurants are popular with yachters, who put down anchor in the bay, and hop ashore to dine.
