April the 28th, 2024 – A brand new luxury site is set to employ around 100 people. The Avalona Pag campsite is setting some prestigious new standards.
As Poslovni Dnevnik/Ana Roksandic writes, the Aminess Hotels & Resorts group recently opened a five-star Avalona camp in Povljana on the island of Pag. The entire project is worth a massive 55 million euros and spans about three hundred plots of 100 and 200 metres square in size. 32 of them will become luxury plots with a private pool. The Aminess Group noted that such a concept of a private plot with a swimming pool is the first in the entire country.
“The Aminess Avalona Camping Resort is among six campsites across Croatia which have a categorisation of five stars. That only confirms its excellence according to the high requirements of ADAC standards. With the opening of the Avalona Pag campsite, Aminess is continuing to expand its portfolio by investing in high-class facilities. At the same time it will be providing an incentive for the development and improvement of the local tourist and hospitality offer on the entire island,” said Mladen Knežević, a member of the board at Aminess.
The construction of the entire resort took approximately two years, and Aminess emphasised that the development of the local community in which they operate was an extremely important element for this project. The new Avalona Pag site will employ about a hundred people in the off-season, and in the peak of the season, as many as 170 employees will have the opportunity to become part of the Aminess Group. They confirmed that the majority of employees will be local residents, which will aid Pag’s demographic issues significantly. 75 percent of those employed are people from Croatia and the region at this moment in time, while staff are still being sought for 25 percent of the positions.
The new Avalona Pag campsite will also contain 30 glamping villas and 232 mobile homes. A very special feature of the camp will be an impressive 180 swimming pools, of which 118 are located next to the mobile homes themselves, 30 next to the glamping villas, and the aforementioned 32 swimming pools are next to the luxury plots along the first row to the sea. A restaurant will also be available to guests, and the camp will boast bars, a pastry shop, a bakery and a supermarket offering a wide range of local products. In addition, Aminess emphasised that their guests will be able to enjoy a variety of activities such as a multi-functional playground, tennis courts or an outdoor gym, as well as an aquapark with five large slides.
