I was following Total Hvar for some time before I started bogging for the Total project, and there were so many useful articles and information about events and everyday life on the island, which I enjoyed as they were making my life on the island easier.
I remember one article that could very easily be my favourite one – it was about wild blackberries being in season and growing everywhere on the island. For a foreigner growing up in a city not familiar with the climate and all the goodies growing on the island, this was a great piece of information and I was in the fields the next day to pick those delicious wild blackberries with my kid.
We had some oversized blackberries from the supermarket at home, but my then 2 year old would stay away from those, but could not get enough of the wild ones. Kids know what´s good for them.
Today, I am the one bringing you the information about those wild blackberries being in peak season and this year as the sun was very generous, the blackberries are everywhere, big and tasty. Yummy!!
Funny enough, when I was looking up the first article, I found it it was published exactly 2 years ago on August 1, 2013. Great coincidence..
