Hvar has a great selection of campsites all over the island, and camping is very popular. One of the best campsites is close to Sućuraj. Introducing Camp Mlaska.
The Drvenik to Sućuraj ferry fills up with campervans and caravans in the season and, as the vehicles disembark, the prospect of spending an hour sitting behind them along the winding road to Jelsa is not a pleasant one. Invariably however, the majority turn right down a rough track shortly after Sućuraj and disappear from view. For at the bottom of the track is Camp Mlaska, one of Hvar’s more popular camping spots.
Mlaska is a modern autocamp, one half of which is FKK, on the northern shore of the island, about 3km from Sućuraj. The camp is more than 20,000m2, with space for 200 tents and electricity for caravans, as well as a delightful sandy beach. There are also 20 wooden bungalows sleeping 4-6 withtv, shower, fridge and washing machine.
Facilities include a post office, currency exchange, sailing, boat rentals, windsurfing, fishing and other excursions. For more information, visit the Camp Mlaska website or check out the video below.
