After two successful Expos earlier this year in Sinj and Drniš, prosciutto producers and lovers are now heading towards Istria to present and sample the very finest examples of this delicacy Traditional Prosciutto expo will take place in Tinjan, Istria’s main prosciutto municipality on October 17th and 18th 2015 with the doors opening at 9 AM while the official opening ceremony will commence at 11 AM.
Along with workshops, exhibitions and of course tastings, this year’s prosciutto expo is also presenting a very attractive prosciutto cutting competition on Sunday October 18th and if you are interested in scheduled presentations, one of the most interesting ones is “Presentation of current measures in rural development, investment possibilities in agriculture and tourism” which will take place on Saturday at 16:00.
This year’s edition is full of novelties, it will be held in three seperat tents and prosciutto makers from Serbia or Zlatibor to be exact will exhibit their products for the first time. When it comes to Croatian producers, you will be able to see and taste the finest prosciutto from krk, Drniš, Istria and Dalmatia, and other foreign exhibitors include guests from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Italy And Austria. Spain is also one of the attending countries so you will be able to taste one of the world’s best prosciutto in the world Jamon Iberico made out of black pig Pata Negra.
