100 Million Kuna Investment in Medjimurje for ”Eco Factory of Future”

The factory will meet the highest eco standards in the world.

As Poslovni Dnevnik writes on the 16th of January, 2018, the Tehnix company from Donji Kraljevac in Medjimurje County will open a modern ”eco-factory of the future” on 10,000 square meters of land, where it will produce eco-equipment. The investment totals approximately 100 million kuna, the eco factory will also employ around 100 new people in its plants. The first group of 15 of them are already setting up machines, Večernji List writes.

”The factory will meet the highest eco standards in the world. On the roof, there’ll be a one-megawatt solar power plant, a wind turbine with a capacity of 10 kilowatts, a complete waste water recirculation system that will be further purified. The plant won’t produce even one kilogram of waste, everything will be recycled and reused. We’ll also set up electric vehicle connectors which we’ll use in internal transport,” stated Tehnix CEO Djuro Horvat, who also signed a contract with Mercedes for long-term business cooperation on the production of utility vehicles for waste disposal, which have already been made for 70 buyers from Belgrade, Skopje, Sarajevo, Romania, and more.

They’re running on the Croatian market because, as Horvat states, communal vehicles are imported in this country, often at higher prices and they’re usually of a lower quality.

Tehnix’s praiseworthy project has recently been awarded 10 million euro in European Union grants for the development of new products which have been designed by this company in conjunction with experts from the Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Technology.
