This year, the event will include a large nativity scene and singing Christmas lights which will play traditional songs. Every year, more and more people visit this fairytale, so the Salaj family has expanded the promenade and employed more animators than last year. Visitors will also be welcomed by a large Advent Village, where those who are hungry and thirsty will have a chance to try the specialities of local producers. There will also be an ice rink where the youngest will be able to demonstrate their skating skills. The price for 45 minutes of skating is 20 kunas, including rental of skates. The sky will also participate in a way in this Christmas fairytale since every evening it will be lit by fireworks.

If you are coming from Zagreb, you should leave the motorway towards Slavonski Brod at the Ivanić-Grad exit and then continue driving 15 kilometres towards Čazma. The Salaj family property is located at the end of Grabovnica, and there are two free parking lots just in front of the entrance. You can also take the Tin-Express train, where younger guests will be welcomed by St. Nicholas, Santa Claus and a snowman. The train will run from 8 December to 6 January. The price for children is 85 kunas and for adults 90 kunas. The price includes a train ticket, a bus ride to the property itself, a ticket to the estate and a small gift for children.

Tickets can be purchased at the entrance to the property, and they cost 30 kunas. Children up to 7 years of age accompanied by adults, persons with disabilities, children from children’s homes and people with special needs can enter for free.

The Salaj family started decorating their farm with Christmas lights 16 years ago. Thanks to the great effort and enthusiasm of the family members, over time it has become one of the most significant events in the continental part of Croatia. State institutions, the Ministry of Tourism, the Ministry of Economy, the Croatian National Tourist Board, the Bjelovar-Bilogora County Tourist Board and local self-government units have also recognised the importance and role of this project and financially supported the Salaj Christmas Story.
