As Novac/Jozo Vrdoljak writes on the 7th of August, 2020, after winning the No.1 marina title last year, ACI Marina Rovinj has been nominated for The Best Superyacht Marina Award 2020. The award, which is given as part of the global Superyacht Business Awards programme, recognises the excellence of service in nautical tourism.

In order to choose the best marina, more than 15,000 captains and crew members evaluate their stay experience and the service that marinas provide to their guests and vessel owners. In addition to equipment, facilities, social programmes and services, some of the criteria taken into account when voting for The Best Superyacht Marina Award under the Best Marina category: Adriatic are the marina’s location, accessibility, safety, environmental protection and value for money.

“As a modern marina with a unique design and the latest technological solutions, ACI marina Rovinj provides a lot of facilities and a high quality of service, thus positioning itself at the very top in terms of global nautical tourism. Its nautical excellence has also been confirmed by the categorisation of five anchors, which is awarded to marinas of the highest category.

ACI marina Rovinj with its facilities and its high quality of service achieves the optimal ratio of the provided service for the price. This marina offers a unique view of the picturesque old town, and near the marina lies one of the most beautiful Mediterranean park forests – Zlatni rt. The marina boasts a spacious gym, and wellness and swimming pools within the Grand Hotel Park for its guests. In addition to numerous specialised services, it also offers the service of emptying black and grey tanks, servicing boats and is the host of many regattas, including the world-famous ADRIS RC 44 regatta. In addition, ACI has an ISO 9001 certificate and is the holder of the blue flag for the ACI marina Rovinj, which is in line with the responsible way of doing business and the protection of the sea and the local environment,” read a statement from ACI.

In its 37 years of existence, ACI has developed a quality network of professional staff in all of its 22 marinas. The company’s staff are continuously educated and are extremely motivated for the best possible communication with guests and the provision of top services.

“ACI, as the largest system of marinas and a carrier of nautical tourism, directs constant efforts and investments in the promotion of nautical tourism and positioning Croatia on the nautical map of the world. By continuously raising the quality of the marinas themselves, and also by improving their accompanying facilities, we contribute to the quality of the nautical and Croatian tourist offer, which is why we’re extremely pleased with this nomination,” said the President of the ACI Management Board, Kristijan Pavic.

Croatia already boasts an impressive 40 percent of the world’s charter fleet, and ACI continues to promote Croatia as a nautical destination with numerous additional benefits. An indispensable part of the company’s business are its investments, and ACI Marina Rovinj is the largest investment in the history of ACI and one of the largest in nautical tourism in all of Croatia, in which more than 150 million kuna has been invested.

Having in mind all the above, it is far from surprising that this marina, according to its nautical standards and visual identity, has become the absolute number one on Croatian nautical routes.
