The Biograd Boat Show does it again!
As Morski reports on the 23rd of October, 2018, the largest boat fair in Croatia and Central Europe smashed its own record with more than 320 registered exhibitors and over 300 vessels.
After 20 record fairs, the Biograd Boat Show, organised by the tourist company Ilirija d.d, confirmed its position as the leading Central European boat fair with the largest number of exhibitors and vessels on the Adriatic coast, eZadar writes.
For years now, the much loved Biograd Boat Show has been a gathering place for all sectors involved in some way in the nautical industry and in the type of tourism relating directly to it, from shipbuilders to diving companies and everything in between. As a result, this popular boat show held in the Zadar region has grown into the veritable congress of the Croatian nautical industry and tourism over the last twenty years, a fact which was clearly confirmed through the organisation of the Croatian Chamber of Commerce’s rich two-day congress program held in the fair’s scope.
Unlike other boat shows in the world, the Biograd Boat Show lasts until sunset, continuing the entire event with an entertainment program lasting until 02:00, and then continuing later on in the city centre.
This year’s Biograd Boat Show was visited by a massive 16,860 people, an impressive figure representing three times the actual population of the town of Biograd na Moru itself.
During the fair, twelve social events took place in five locations within Marina Kornati, where five bands, DJ’s, fireworks, and all types of events were held and displayed across five Jumbo screens.
More than 700 participants participated in the regatta events this year, and a record number of exhibitors and exhibits were followed by numerous events taking place in a truly beautiful environment. It appears that this year’s Biograd Boat Show was especially appealing to international visitors.
The fair was attended by twelve overseas productions, including four TV productions and screenings took place in as many as 100 countries around the globe, which will further promote not only the Biograd Boat Show, but also Croatia and the Croatian nautical industry and Croatian tourism as a whole.
