ZAGREB, February 23, 2018 – The first national laboratory for acute lymphoblastic leukaemia was opened at the Oncology Ward of Zagreb’s Hospital for Children’s Diseases on Friday.
The laboratory was equipped thanks to a humanitarian drive which helped raise more than a million kuna in just one month, the opening ceremony was told.
The laboratory will enhance the quality of treatment of children suffering from acute lymphoblastic leukaemia, the most frequent malignant disease in children.
Until now, there was no specialised laboratory either in Croatia or in neighbouring countries that could perform diagnostic tests for acute lymphoblastic leukaemia.
