CNN Promotes Croatian Pearl: “Dubrovnik as Las Vegas in Star Wars”

Many people dream of travelling to other planets. But fans of Star Wars can truly visit the locations where numerous famous scenes were filmed, says the global network

On the global release date of the newest addition to the Star Wars series, The Last Jedi movie, CNN has created a list of many destinations where you can step into the Star Wars universe, published on December 14, 2017. Out of the 24 listed places, one is especially interesting to Croatians – Dubrovnik.

Dubrovnik has become a regular guest on TV screens in the past years, primarily due to the Game of Thrones series. In The Last Jedi it is set to star as a galactic casino town Canto Bight. A medieval town circled with walls and a very well preserved core received a futuristic makeover in order to resemble the Las Vegas of Star Wars.

CNN also mentions this Adriatic port attracted many guests over its Game of Thrones involvement, with many locals complaining of too many visitors. Thus they recommend if you do visit it, leave the Force alone during your stay.
