The reunited Guns ‘N’ Roses made a triumphal return to festival stages at the first weekend of this year’s Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival held at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California in mid-April. Prior to Axl Rose, Slash & Co’s return, the BBC’s Channel Four has aired the documentary “The Most Dangerous Band in the World – The Story Of Guns N Roses”Glas Istre reported on Saturday, April 23, 2016.

The documentary by director and producer Jon Brewer features music from Pula-Zagreb cello-duo and Croatia’s first genuine YouTube sensation 2Cellos and their friend and multiple times collaborator, Chinese pianist superstar Lang Lang. Their version of the Guns ‘N’ Roses hit “Live and Let Die” from their latest album, 2015’s “Celloverse”, was used in the documentary.

2Cellos consist of classically trained cellists Luka Šulić from Zagreb and Stjepan Hauser from Pula. The mother-in-law’s-dream duo reached fame after a video of the two cellists filmed in the centre of the biggest town of Croatia’s largest peninsula (Istria) Pula in front of the ancient Roman Triumphal Arch of the Sergi at the city’s Portarata Square went viral on YouTube. The 2011 video shows the duo performing Michael Jackson’s “Smooth Criminal” and had reached 3 million views within two weeks. Sir Elton John saw the video and took them on tour. The rest is history.

Other hits that received the 2Cellos treatment include Led Zeppelin classic “Whole Lotta Love”, ACDC’s “Thunderstruck”, Coldplay’s “Every Teardrop is a Waterfall”, Avicii’s “Wake Me Up”, and many, many more. Muse frontman Matt Bellamy had a lot of praise for the duo’s version of the Muse hit “Hysteria”. Many of the videos for 2Cellos singles have been shot at various locations throughout the Istrian peninsula. The duo is also very big in Japan.
