Croatia will take part in the Morbihan Bay Week festival, to be held from 22 to 28 May of 2017 in the French province of Bretagne. It is one of the most significant naval, cultural and touristic events
This invitation symbolically opened wide the doors to maritime, cultural and touristic cooperation between France and Croatia, it was said at the press conference by Cronaves association in Split, Hrt.hr reported on March 11, 2017.
At the European Maritime Village in Vannes, Croatia will during a full day of cultural, entertainment and educational programmes present to the European public its naval trade, fishing skills, traditional maritime cuisine and authentic Croatian products, care of the Palagruža Association from Komiža on Vis Island, so the rich naval tradition and maritime skills will be presented on the traditional boat – Komiža sandula.
Land programmes will take place in the Croatian Maritime Museum, set up especially for the occasion, where the Stari Grad Museum will present selected photographs on the topic of Stari Grad maritime culture and joint Croatian maritime heritage.
Special contribution of Croatian presence at this great maritime, cultural and touristic festival will come from the Croatian Tourism Board which will ensure through animation and handing out of brochures and souvenirs that many French tourists visit Croatia this summer.
The participation programme at Morbihan Bay Week 2017 festival was envisioned and coordinated with French organisers by the Cronaves Association from Split.
