ZAGREB, August 7, 2018 – Croatian high school students Nikola Bišćan from Donji Miholjac and Luka Banović from Rijeka have won silver medals at the 2018 International Geography Olympics in Quebec City, Canada, while Mihovil Penavić from Slavonski Brod has won a bronze, the Croatian Geography Society said on Tuesday.
The event took place from July 31 to August 6, bringing together 165 students from 43 countries.
Since 2010, students representing Croatia on the world geography stage have won 24 medals – seven golds, eight silvers and nine bronzes.
