The eighth consecutive ”Easter in Primorje” will be held in the village of Klisevo on Monday the 17th of April 2017.
The event will present all the traditions and specialities typical to the area and the program will host cultural and artistic groups from neighbouring countries.
Supported from the very beginning by the Dubrovnik Tourist Board, the Tourist Board of Dubrovacko-Neretvanska and the City of Dubrovnik, this part of the Dubrovnik wider area is known for a particularly intricate way of decorating trational Easter eggs using hot wax – the old fashioned and indeed one of the most special ways.
Taking place in the small, typically Dalmatian village of Klisevo, ”Easter in Primorje” has quite rightly grown from a local event to an international folklore and tourist attraction. Participants in this year’s edition of the festival will include performances from both Croatia and neighbouring Bosnia and Herzegovina as well as the Dubrovnik Trombunjeri (musketeers).
The aim of the carefully prepared event is to revive the traditions and ways of life of the villages surrounding Dubrovnik and enrich and expand the overall tourist offer of the City of Dubrovnik and Dubrovnik-Neretva County as a whole.
For all those interested, a free bus service departing from Dubrovnik’s main bus station (Gruz) at 13:00 and 14:00, returning from Klisevo at 18:00 and 19:00.
Glas Grada notes that should bad weather be an issue, the event will be postponed until the 23rd of April and begin at 15:00.
