Meet BuyFish Shop, the first electronic fish market in Croatia.
As Morski reports on the 7th of February, 2018, Croatia finally has an electronic fish market! The President of the Association of Professional Fishermen Mare Croaticum, Daniele Kolec, spoke with Morski and told the portal more about it.
BuyFish Shop is the first electronic fish market in Croatia, and the target is for the trader to reach the planned amount of fish for the fisherman to sell the fish at the best price available.
”The exchange works smoothly; the fisherman sends the quantity and type of fish he’s got, the dealer sends the offer. The fisherman chooses the best deal and contacts the dealer. From that moment on, the story ends with the e-Stock,” Kolec stated, adding that the fisherman and the merchant are free to decide and agree on the pick up point and the payment method. Kolec noted that the electronic stock market will soon be ready for the Italian market as well.
OPGs can also be registered on the stock exchange, they just must be registered first as buyers. Kolec stated that a new rulebook will be issued on first buyers soon.
All fishermen and merchants need to first register at BuyFish Shop, and what they then make of it is down to them.
