After several years, photos of Croatia will be updated.
Google’s car will again drive on the Croatian streets this summer, to refresh the local data on Google Maps and its popular Street View service, which allows users a 360-degree view of streets, reports Poslovni.hr on July 17, 2018.
The cars will focus on refreshing the information on roads linking the Croatian towns.
Google emphasises that it is doing everything it can to protect the privacy and at the same time allow users to use Street View data. Before being published, the collected photographs undergo special technology process which blurs faces and vehicle registration numbers, which prevents their identification and protects privacy, announced Google.
Street View also has the option to remove any questionable photos which users can report by clicking the “Report Problem” button seen on all photos.
The project will start on 31 July and will last approximately two months.
