The Office intends to award a total of 500 scholarships: 400 for studies in Bosnia and Herzegovina and 100 for studies in Croatia. Scholarships are awarded for a period of 10 months, with the monthly amount of 700 kuna, which gives the total amount of 3.5 million kuna.

In Croatia, the right to participate in the competition is limited to full time students of public institutions of higher education – Croatian expatriates residing abroad, members of Croatian minorities in 12 European countries with officially recognized Croatian minorities, and students who are Croats from Bosnia and Herzegovina and who reside in that country and who are starting or continuing their full time studies.

The criteria which will be used to determine the list of potential recipients of the scholarships includes general success in the final year of secondary school or of university studies, as well as social and economic status of individual students.

All details about the public competition can be found at the website of the Central State Office for Croats Abroad: www.hrvatiizvanrh.hr.

The ranking list of students who have earned the right to a scholarship will be published at the website, and along with the name and surname of the students their total number of points will also be announced.
