April the 20th, 2024 – Croatia is known for making excellent coffee, and for drinking it. It’s only logical that the GR8 Coffee Festival Zagreb will attract the masses.

As Poslovni Dnevnik writes, the GR8 Coffee Festival Zagreb, set to be held from May the 23rd to the 25th, 2024, will turn the Croatian capital into the ultimate meeting place for coffee fans. Following the example of other major cities across the world, the festival is coming to Pavilion 9 of the Zagreb Fair (Velesajam). Most would admit that in a nation of coffee lovers, it’s high time that a festival like this arrived in Croatia.

The GR8 Coffee Festival Zagreb will bring together lovers and professionals around cups of the sublime beverage Croatia adores, behind which culture, innovation, technology, passion, companionship and connection all stand. Along with coffee, the finest teas, chocolates, spirits and craft beers will also be tasted and explored.

“I’ve been following the worldwide community of high professionals and passionate coffee lovers for many years now. Aware that our region lacks a high-profile event such as this, I decided to start the festival. GR8 Coffee is more than a festival, it’s a platform that will provide the opportunity for the profession to develop systematically, and where coffee lovers can get first-hand the latest knowledge on all things coffee,” said Silvana Fanjek, director of the GR8 Coffee Festival. Fanjek otherwise has more than 25 years of experience in the coffee industry, in various leadership positions.

“I believe that Zagreb, both culturally and when it comes to tourism, absolutely deserves to be positioned on the international coffee map of events alongside the world’s largest industry events,” added Fanjek.
