As Poslovni Dnevnik/Sergej Novosel Vuckovic writes, Sony Pictures Television and WarnerMedia have announced extensions of their content distribution agreements across Central and Eastern Europe, which will ensure upcoming Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE) feature films on HBO channels and the HBO MAX streaming platform across Croatia and the region, HBO Adria said in a statement on Thursday.

This ”region” includes Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Moldova, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Macedonia, where viewers will be able to watch films and series such as blockbusters which have gained global popularity of late.

It’s worth noting that the HBO MAX platform is coming to Croatia on March the 8th, when it will replace the existing HBO GO, and is advertised as a completely new streaming experience, which will unite favourite titles not only from Warner Bros but also from the repertoire of HBO, DC, Cartoon Network and Max Original.

“HBO MAX offers the best entertainment, movies, original series and content for children,” said Christina Sulebakk, CEO of HBO Max EMEA.

It was also recently announced that the streaming platform Disney+, the ”child” of The Walt Disney Company is coming to Croatia this summer.

Croatia will be on the list of 42 countries and 11 new territories around the world where it will be possible to follow, as was announced from Disney, exclusive, original content and thousands of titles of series and movies from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic and others.
