Korean reality TV returns to Croatia. And the Korean tourists are sure to follow…
It is one of the most remarkable tourism stories in Croatia in recent years, and the flood of tourists from the Republic of Korea shows no sign of abating.
From annual arrivals of 16,000 in 2010 to an expected 400,000 this year, there is no doubt that Croatia is ‘in’ in Seoul, and with direct flights between the two capitals cities planned in 2016 by Korean Air, this is a trend which is set to continue.
A major part of the boom has been the success of some Korean reality shows set in Croatia, portraying the country’s beauty and romantic appeal.
As we previously reported recently, a new show – The Friends – was filming in Croatia a couple of months ago, and the first show is already out in Korea. Watch the trailer here.
