The iconic Austrian duo will celebrate their 25th career anniversary on the majestic fortress of St Michael
Two of the biggest names in electronic dance music, 90s icons, downtempo godfathers and the founders of the legendary G-Stoned Recordings – Kruder & Dorfemeister, ladies and gentlemen!
The iconic duo has announced they’ll be making their Croatian debut this summer, on August 4, reports Glas Istre on May 8, 2018. The show will coincide with their 25th career anniversary, and seeing that the occasion is deserving of a spectacular venue, Peter Kruder and Richard Dorfmeister picked a truly unique location: the fortress of St. Michael in Šibenik.
One of the most beautiful stages on the Adriatic coast will host the famous duo and a team of visual artists that will take the audience on a wild 4-hour audio-visual ride. Only a thousand of the most loyal fans of the Austrian music duo will have the privilege of enjoying the unforgettable show. They’ll perform some of their biggest hits, such as High Noon, Black Baby, In Deep Shit, Trans Fatty Acid and many others.
The recognisable K&D sound – warm, deep and eclectic, sprinkled with hints of jazz, funk, soul, reggae and hip-hop – triggered a transformation of electronic music back in the day. They remixed giants such as Depeche Mode, Madonna, Roni Size and Gotan Project. Their album DJ-Kicks made for the K7 label was a crossroads of sorts for the Austrian duo, launching them to stardom; the underground heroes quickly became critically acclaimed producers and DJs, media darlings with a global fanbase.
Their next album K&D sessions became an international bestseller; more than a million copies have been sold so far, and the work is still seen as one of the albums that defined the sound of the 90s.
Tickets are available here at a price of 240 kuna. After July 10, the price will rise to 280 – and seeing only 1000 tickets are available, if you’re a fan of K&D, it’s best not to put off the purchase.
