Liberbeer – a beer with a taste of freedom.
Prague beer store Galeria has decided to support the idea of the free state Liberland and to offer a special set of craft beers, reports pivnica.net on February 11, 2017.
Liberbeer takes the best from the global trend of craft beers and the from the Czech beer tradition. The beer is of high quality and uses specially selected flower cones of hop and other ingredients, as well as water from the mountains on the Czech-German border. Liberbeer contains no artificial additives and is unfiltered and unpasteurized.
The aim of the cooperation between the Prague beer store and the Liberland is not only the promotion of Liberland and libertarian ideas, but also the financing of growth of Liberland. From each sold Liberbeer, 10 cents will be forwarded to the Liberland’s bank account.
For those who do not know it, Liberland is a self-proclaimed state located between Croatia and Serbia on the Danube river island formerly known as Gornja Siga. Liberland was declare a state by Czech politician Vit Jedlicka on 13 April 2015. The slogan of Liberland is “Live and let live”. The Liberland constitution, in accordance with libertarian principles, significantly limits the power of politicians so that they cannot interfere too much in the daily lives of people.
Currently on offer are Liberbeer Ale IPA with 6.5% alcohol and three types of hops – Summit, Nelson Sauvin and Sorachi Ace – and two types of malt – Marris Otter and T 50. They intend to soon start producing Liberbeer Pale Lager and that they will offer licensed production of Liberbeer to Croatian and Serbian breweries. Contacts with Apatinska Pivovara in Serbian have already been established.
