Total Croatia News

Trip hop legends from Bristol, Massive Attack, will open this year’s edition of Dimensions festival, organisers announced on February 6, 2016. Massive Attack, the band behind three albums that defined the 90s will perform in the dramatic setting of the Pula Arena, a 2000-year-old roman amphitheatre on August 24, 2016.

Fans had to wait five years for Massive Attack’s new material. Their latest EP „Ritual Spirit“ was released in January and they are currently presenting on their European tour while  a full-length album is scheduled for the end of this year. Founders Robert “3D” Del Naja, Grant “Daddy G” Marshall were joined on „Ritual Spirit“ by  Young Fathers, Roots Manuva, Azekal. Their old collaborator Tricky is also back, so we hope he will also join them on stage in Pula.

The main part of the techno, house, jazz and soul festa programme will once again take place in the Punta Christo fortress near Pula, August 25-28, 2016. Organisers have announced the first line-up, and we will be able to listen to the likes of the Australian future soul quartet Hiatus Kaiyote (Grammy nomination in 2013 for best r&B track). Moritz von Oswald Trio, jazz fusion band  with the father of afrobeat, drummer Tony Allen, underground house icons Mood II Swing are also coming as well as Joe Claussell, founder of legendary Body &Soul nights in New York and more than 30 other bands and DJs.
