More than 300 Santa Clauses Ran for Charity in Zadar

2 km race started from the Forum, all proceeds went to the Social Supermarket 

One of the most colourful races in Croatia took place in Zadar on December 19, 2015 with more than 300 Santa Clauses and Mrs. Clauses replacing their sleighs and raindeers with a comfortable pair of running shoes, all for a good cause. The race “Together for the joy of Christmas” is a part of this year’s “Advent in Zadar” and the aim was to raise money and products for the city’s social supermarket for those in need.

The race started with the liftoff of hundereds of red baloons in front of the famous Zadar landmark – Forum. Then, merry Santas started their 2 km long journey, some actually ran along the entire route while some decided to opt for a leasurely stroll. Either way, it was a memorable photo opportunity for many tourists that found themselves in this Croatian coastal city.
