The cover single of Nina Kraljić’s debutant album “Samo” now has a visual dimension, in the form of a video made in the creative workshop of Romulić&Stojčić multimedia studio
The video production is authored by Dražen Stojčić and Mario Romulić, who upon hearing the song wanted to create their own visual experience of the single “Samo,” and present Nina’s voice as a force of nature. Also, they wanted to connect the video with the promotional video for her Eurovision song “Lighthouse.” Mutual cooperation of creative forces and artists resulted in this visual dimension of the single “Samo.”
“After listening to the son we knew right away we wanted to interpret Nina’s voice as a force of nature. Thus her voice turns from wind and clouds into water, first as a small stream, then as Nina’s voice grows, so does the visual dynamics which in the refrain turns into an explosion of waves and waterfalls. The vocal then turns into a gentle mist that flows over a wonderful landscape, while in the other part of the song we used images of winter, snow and ice to calm the action before a dramatic big finale where images of fire, thunder and lightning mix. In this way we wanted to connect the song “Samo” with the Eurovision promo-video for the song “Lighthouse” in which we used images of powerful storms in the Adriatic. Images were made in various techniques (slow motion, timelapse…) across Croatia, from Dubrovnik, Biokovo, Kornati, Velebit, Gorski Kotar, Zagorje to Baranja, but we purposely wanted to avoid known locations and focused on details and the power of nature. Nina’s style of singing perfectly blended with that concept and we are happy this cooperation resulted in a video that I believe will be popular,” Romulić and Stojčić have said.
After the video is published, next week another single from the “Samo” album will be puslibhsed – the song “Snijeg,” together with an official video.
The promotion of the album “Samo” will be held on 7 December in Zagreb as well as the annual party of the music label Universal Music Croatia.
