ZAGREB, October 21, 2018 – The Sisak-Moslavina County Development Agency (SIMORA), which in 2017 won the European Commission’s award for promoting enterprise for its project encouraging local purchasing, has this year won the same award for a project designed to establish a business incubator for video game developers.
The project is designed to establish a business incubator, called PISMO, which will serve as the basis for developing, in the town of Novska (about 100 kilometres southeast of Zagreb), the most modern business incubator for video game developers in this part of Europe.
Renovation work is already underway on two buildings in Novska that will house the main office of the future business incubator, video game developing courses are being held, as are game developing workshops in schools throughout the county, and a four-year programme for video game developing will soon be introduced in high schools.
SIMORA director Mario Ćelan believes these measures will help the county position itself in the centre of the European gaming industry.
