Oliver and Gibonni Debut New Songs on the Same Day

Total Croatia News

Perfect soundtrack for this rainy day

Long time friends, collaborators and above all Croatian music legends Oliver Dragojević and Gibonni decided to debut their new songs on March 16, 2016. This is not surprising considering that Gibonni wrote Oliver’s song and that most of Gibonni’s new album was inspired by their fishing trips since the two are almost family.

23 years after the now legendary song Cesarica, this duo is collaborating again, and Gibonni’s new album Familija (Family) is the result of it. Once again, Gibonni has gathered a string of brilliant Croatian and international instrumentalists while the songs were recorded in studios all over the world from Korčula, Split and Zagreb to Paris, Madrid and Los Angeles.

Gibonni’s new album will include 9 songs, and considering we had to wait for 6 years for his album in Croatian (20th Century Man, released in 2013 was in English), I am sure fans will be more than happy to hear what he’s been up to. Of course, new album means new concert dates, and your first opportunity to hear his new material live will be in Zagreb on April 2 where Oliver will appear as a special guest.

And here are the new singles. Oliver is back with “Gdje to piše” (Where does it say) and Gibo just released “Onako, od oka” (Approximately). Both are only available through Tportal so follow the link if you want to listen to them.
