Good news travels far. And news that a new boutique hotel in Singapore has furniture made in Croatia, surprised the manufacturer themselves, Prostoria. The world really is small and the Warehouse Hotel in Singapore totally cool.
First news broke via the bravotangohotel.com blog with a reportage from the Warehouse Hotel in Singapore, where the author walked in and recognised the Croatian armchairs. In the rooms were also Prostoria’s armchairs and chairs.
Iva Šilović from Prostoria said everyone in the company was surprised and thrilled as they had no idea they were furnishing a hotel in Singapore.
“An order came through our distributers in Italy and we delivered everything they asked for, not knowing it was on its way to Singapore,” said Iva, adding their products are sold in 450 sales points around the world, so it is hard to say, but they presume the chairs caught the eye of the architect in Milan or one of the larger fairs.
The hotel has 37 rooms, opened under a month ago in a lively Singapore area previously known for smuggling and other underworld activities. Everything is new today and an old warehouse from the end of the 19th century has been turned into a luxury boutique hotel. A night’s accommodation is around 180 euro and seems to be a cool place to stay in Singapore.
