Pula Film Festival Gets New Visual Identity

Total Croatia News

ZAGREB, February 25, 2018 – A new visual identity for this year’s 65th edition of the Pula Film Festival was presented at a press conference in Pula earlier in the week, with the author, Duje Jurić, explaining that he used recognisable elements associated with the festival and the stars.

Considering that during the festival in the Arena amphitheatre the stars leave a unique but unnoticeable trace, we have created a unique impression that simulates the dynamics of heavenly bodies and their movement until they form the number 65 and its association to the identical shape of the Arena’s audience area, Jurić said.

The festival director, Gordana Restović, announced that a competition for the festival’s visual identity would be conducted every year and in that way provide an opportunity for authors to leave their mark on the rich history of the festival.

This year, the festival will take place in the biggest Istrian city for nine days from 14 to 22 July.
