New vessels of local shipbuilders will be exhibited in Rijeka port at the 5th edition of Rijeka Nautic Show.
Seventy shipbuilders and manufacturers of vessels and equipment as well as providers of various nautical services will present their maritime products and services from September 29 to October 1 at the fifth edition of Rijeka Nautic Show, reports Novi List on September 26, 2017. The opening ceremony is scheduled for Friday at 11 A.M. The exhibition spaces will be located at Karolina Riječka Pier and the area between the Adamić Pier and Riva Boduli.
Rijeka has recently become one of the favourite destination for sailors, due to may regattas held here, this year, for the first time, there will also be plenty of sailboats exhibited. Out of 50 boats on show, most of which are made by local shipbuilders, whose production program is ideally suited to the needs and opportunities of the local market,” said Kazimir Mihić of the Association Technical Culture Rijeka, which is the organiser of the event. The biggest boat presented will be the 14-meter-long Monachus yacht. Key Largo One made by InterAdria from Kastav will be shown for the first time in Croatia, as well as Manta 700 vessel. “Rijeka Nautic Show has been supporting the small Croatian shipbuilding sector and other sailing-related businesses or the past five years,” says Andrija Vitezić, the chairman of the organizing committee.

This year, visitors can also expect a rich programme, that includes demonstration exercise of the PGŽ County Operations Center, boat ride on the Korsaro pirate and a tour of the Croatian Navy’s patrol boat. All interested visitors will also be able to visit the nautical innovation exhibition, where they can get acquainted with new interesting and exciting projects. Many presentations have been announced, including the presentation of the Croatian diving suit, Reacher 780 sailboat and Riteh Waterbike made by Rither Waterbike Team, consiting of students of the Technical Faculty in Rijeka.The Rijeka Nautic Show can be visited on Friday from 11 A.M. to 7 P.M., on Saturday from 9 A.M. to 8 P.M. and on Sunday from 9 A.M. to 6 P.M. The entrance fee will be 10 kunas, which includes a free ride on the Korsaro pirate ship.
