Roman Abramovich Back in Dubrovnik

Or his yacht is, for now….

 

And just when we thought he would skip his annual visit to Dubrovnik, Roman Abramovic’s megayacht Eclipse appeared in the Dubrovnik aquatorium late yesterday and the arrival of his private Boeing 737 – 300 is expected today. Russian billionaire and owner of F.C. Chelsea is probably in dire need of a good, long rest after the hectic football transfer season, so once again we will be able to see him with his family along Stradun.

 

Eclipse is one of the largest private yachts in the world. It is 163 m long (LOA) and worth 1,2 billion dollars, but since it cannot fit into any of the marinas in the wider region, it will remain on anchor around the Dubrovnik archipelago.
