ZAGREB, January 26, 2018 – Over the next four years, a total of five billion kuna is expected to be invested in energy efficiency which creates a great window of opportunity for Croatian construction companies, notably small and medium-sized businesses, Construction and Zoning Minister Predrag Štromar said in the northern Croatian village of Štefanje, outside Bjelovar, on Friday.
Štromar signed a contract for improving energy efficiency of the Štefanje Elementary School, worth 500,000 kuna.
A total of 11 schools In Bjelovar-Bilogora County will be remodeled and upgraded. The construction work are valued at 27 million kuna.
Following the completion of the works, heating bill will be halved and the money saved that way will be invested in raising the education standards, Bjelovar-Bilogora County Prefect Damir Bajs told the press.
