“Tereza37” Selected As Croatia’s Oscar Entry

Šerbedžija’s film was chosen among seven.

This is the third time that one of his films has been selected for the Oscars’ Best International Feature Film. He represented Croatia with “72 Days” and Macedonia with “The Liberation of Skopje”, which he co-directed with his father, actor Rade Šerbedžija.

“Tereza37”, starring Lana Barić, who also wrote the screenplay, is the story of a 37-year-old woman who can’t get pregnant, because of which she feels increasing pressure from her community. She starts examining her life up to then, her marriage and family relationships, which results in many unexpected events.
