The Lunatics and Warsaw Dolls just released an album entitled Split
Through the ages, Split has inspired many artists, poets and musicians, but this may be the very first time Split served as an inspiration for a foreign hard rock album.
As reported by Slobodna Dalmacija on November 25, 2015, two Polish bands, Warsaw Dolls and The Lunatics decided to collaborate, record an album together, and dedicate it entirely to the city of Split.
And the story doesn’t end there. The whole album artwork represents Split and Dalmatia and it includes an old 80s postcard of Split with a postage stamp from Makarska. Knowing how popular Split was as a tourist destination for Polish tourists in the 1980s (and still is) we’re not surprised they decided to pay tribute to this Croatian city.
The album itself was sold out as soon as it hit the stores, and now all that is left for us to do is organize their concert in the heart of the city, to attract new generations of Polish tourists to the “most beautiful city in the world”.
If you’re in the mood for some hard rock with some Split flavour, here’s what The Lunatics and Warsaw Dolls sound like
