A low-down o May 11, 2016 on the observations and conclusions made by the UNESCO-ICOMOS Reactive Monitoring Mission that visited the City of Dubrovnik from 27 October to 1 November last year.
Perhaps one of the most striking was the categorical ban on any type of construction on the slopes of mount Srdj which towers an impressive 415m over Dubrovnik.
Expanding the ”buffer zone” of protection, banning construction on the slopes of Srdj and the halting of the controversial project ”Bosanka 2”, the banning of the construction of a pier below Lazareti and building height control of properties on Srdj were among the conclusions made by the mission.
The in depth observations are a topic of interest for those of us who live here and those who visit. They are available in both Croatian and English language and can be read here.
