UNESCO Za Krizen Procession Begins on Hvar

Za Krizen 2017 is underway,

As has happened every year for hundreds of years on the island of Hvar, the religious procession of Za Krizen (Behind the Cross) started in six locations simultaneously at 22:00: Jelsa, Pitve, Vrisnik, Svirce, Vrbanj and Vrboska

The 22 kilometre procession will continue through the night, until all six processions return to their point of origin at about 07:00.
